Job summary

OhioGuidestone is seeking a part-time Youth Care Specialist for Saturday and Sunday 1st shift at our residential campus in Ohio. You will work as part of the Residential Treatment team, building nurturing relationships with residents and staff, while maintaining safety and a therapeutic environment.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, with preferences for additional degrees. Crisis intervention training is recommended; prior experience with at-risk youth is valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; associates/bachelor’s preferred.
• Crisis intervention training or experience recommended.
• Strong understanding of adolescent development and psychology desired.
• Knowledge of Trauma Informed Care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise residents in care and maintain a safe, therapeutic environment during shift.
• Develop and maintain structured routines for daily activities, meals, and bedtime.
• Provide crisis interventions according to center policies and procedures.
• Complete required documentation (CIRs, logs, USDA logs) accurately and timely.
