Job summary

Turning Point Home Health Inc. in Memphis, TN is seeking a Youth Mental Health Technician for weekend 12-hour shifts (Sat & Sun, 8a-8p / 8p-8a). You will provide supervision, care, and support to youth in state custody, document shift activities, and assist with medications and activities.

Ideal candidates have experience with children or youth in behavioral health, own a driver’s license and reliable transportation, and can obtain TB/CPR certification upon hire. Background checks are required.

Qualifications

Own reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
Proof of TB & CPR certification (can obtain upon hire).
Must be able to pass a background check.
Direct experience working with children or youth in behavioral health.
Experience with children with emotional challenges, intellectual disabilities and medical complexities preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide supervision, care, counseling, safety and support to youth in DCS custody.
Document all shift events in logs, reports, incident reports and progress notes.
Assist with medication administration and recreational activities as needed.
Carry out administrative tasks and assessments related to care.
Maintain confidentiality and follow all legal and professional guidelines.
