Job summary

i9 Sports is seeking a T-Ball/Baseball Coordinator to lead our youth baseball program on weekend shifts in the Fairfax, Vienna, Reston, and Annandale areas. You will oversee sessions, mentor parent coaches, and ensure a dynamic, safe, high-energy experience for players aged 3–8.

Responsibilities include coordinating sessions by age group, teaching basic skills, and maintaining strong communication with parents and staff while aligning with program plans.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching, playing, or officiating baseball/softball.
• Strong ability to manage, motivate, and direct others (adult volunteers and groups of children).
• High patience, energy, and a positive attitude under pressure.
• Exceptional interpersonal communication with parents and children.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and lead weekly T-Ball and Baseball sessions by age group.
• Mentor volunteer parent coaches each week to ensure effective practices with provided plans.
• Teach fundamentals: throwing, catching, fielding, hitting.
• Provide encouraging, constructive feedback to build confidence and skill.
• Complete mandatory pre-season training sessions, fully compensated.
• Prioritize safety and maintain an inclusive, fun environment.
• Supervise large groups of young athletes and manage field conditions.
• Serve as main on-field contact, communicating with parents, players, and staff.
• Address questions and concerns from parents professionally.
