Job summary

Highlands Health and Rehabilitation Center in Memphis, Tennessee, is seeking a Weekend Wound Care Nurse (RN/LPN) to join our skilled nursing team. The role focuses on managing complex wounds and delivering compassionate patient care within a collaborative interdisciplinary setting.

The ideal candidate holds a TN RN or LPN license with at least 2 years of clinical nursing experience, including wound care. Certification in WCC/CWCN is preferred to support advanced wound healing techniques.

Qualifications

Must hold TN RN or LPN license.
Minimum 2 years clinical nursing experience with 1 year in wound care.
Wound care certification (WCC/CWCN) preferred.
Strong knowledge of wound care products and advanced techniques.

Responsibilities

Assess, monitor, and treat patients with acute and chronic wounds, including pressure ulcers.
Develop individualized wound care plans with the healthcare team and implement evidence-based protocols.
Perform wound assessments, dressing changes, debridement, and related procedures.
Educate patients and families on proper wound care and prevention strategies.
Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans, keeping the team informed of changes.
