Highlands Health and Rehabilitation Center in Memphis, TN seeks a Weekend Wound Care Nurse (RN/LPN) to join our skilled nursing team. You will assess and manage complex wounds on weekends, collaborate with physicians and therapists, and educate families on care plans.

This full-time weekend role emphasizes compassionate, evidence-based wound care and excellent communication with the interdisciplinary team. Requirements include TN RN or LPN license, 2+ years nursing with wound care experience,

Qualifications

  • TN RN or LPN license required.
  • Minimum 2 years nursing with at least 1 year in wound care.
  • Wound care certification (WCC, CWCN) preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of wound care products, dressings, and advanced healing techniques.

Responsabilités

  • Assess, monitor, and treat acute and chronic wounds.
  • Develop individualized wound care plans with the care team.
  • Perform wound assessments, dressing changes, and debridement as needed.
  • Educate patients and families on proper wound care and prevention.
  • Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans with the team.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, dietitians and other professionals.
  • Stay updated on current wound care practices and equipment.

Full Time Weekends 7:00AM-3:00PM | Skilled Nursing / Long-Term Care

Highlands Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a compassionate and experienced WeekendWound Care Nurse to join our dedicated healthcare team in Memphis, Tennessee. The ideal candidate will have expertise in managing and treating complex wounds in a skilled nursing environment, providing high-quality patient care, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to promote optimal healing outcomes.

Job Requirements
  • Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in TN.
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 1 year in wound care or a related field.
  • Certification in Wound Care (WCC, CWCN, or equivalent) preferred
  • Strong knowledge of wound care products, dressing materials, and advanced wound healing techniques.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
Job Responsibilities
  • Assess, monitor, and treat patients with acute and chronic wounds, including pressure ulcers, diabetic ulcers, surgical wounds, and other complex skin conditions.
  • Develop individualized wound care plans, in collaboration with the healthcare team, and implement evidence-based treatment protocols.
  • Perform wound assessments, dressing changes, debridement, and other procedures as necessary.
  • Educate patients and their families on proper wound care and prevention strategies.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary, keeping the team informed of any changes or concerns.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and progress, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, dietitians, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Stay updated on current wound care practices, techniques, and equipment.
