Fundamental is seeking a Weekend Wound Care Nurse in Houston, TX. The role focuses on assessing, treating, and planning care for patients with wounds, ostomies, or continence issues, working with the nursing team to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed LPN in good standing with the state.
• 1-2 years wound care experience required.
• Wound Care Certification (WOCN) preferred.
• 1+ years of long term care experience preferred.
• Reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultation and direct assistance in managing patients with altered skin integrity (pressure necrosis, wounds, fistulas, etc).
• Offer in-service programs to assist nursing, rehabilitation and medical staff to maintain wound care knowledge.
• Collect, analyze and document wound information and statistics, and perform clinical evaluations for admissions.
