Highlands Health and Rehabilitation Center in Memphis, Tennessee, is seeking a Weekend Wound Care Nurse (RN/LPN) to join our skilled nursing team. The role focuses on managing complex wounds and delivering compassionate patient care within a collaborative interdisciplinary setting.

The ideal candidate holds a TN RN or LPN license with at least 2 years of clinical nursing experience, including wound care. Certification in WCC/CWCN is preferred to support advanced wound healing techniques.

Qualifications

• Must hold TN RN or LPN license.
• Minimum 2 years clinical nursing experience with 1 year in wound care.
• Wound care certification (WCC/CWCN) preferred.
• Strong knowledge of wound care products and advanced techniques.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and treat patients with acute and chronic wounds, including pressure ulcers.
• Develop individualized wound care plans with the healthcare team and implement evidence-based protocols.
• Perform wound assessments, dressing changes, debridement, and related procedures.
• Educate patients and families on proper wound care and prevention strategies.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans, keeping the team informed of changes.

Highlands Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a compassionate and experienced WeekendWound Care Nurse to join our dedicated healthcare team in Memphis, Tennessee. The ideal candidate will have expertise in managing and treating complex wounds in a skilled nursing environment, providing high-quality patient care, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to promote optimal healing outcomes.

Job Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in TN.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 1 year in wound care or a related field.
• Certification in Wound Care (WCC, CWCN, or equivalent) preferred
• Strong knowledge of wound care products, dressing materials, and advanced wound healing techniques.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.

Job Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and treat patients with acute and chronic wounds, including pressure ulcers, diabetic ulcers, surgical wounds, and other complex skin conditions.
• Develop individualized wound care plans, in collaboration with the healthcare team, and implement evidence-based treatment protocols.
• Perform wound assessments, dressing changes, debridement, and other procedures as necessary.
• Educate patients and their families on proper wound care and prevention strategies.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary, keeping the team informed of any changes or concerns.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and progress, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, dietitians, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
• Stay updated on current wound care practices, techniques, and equipment.
