Job summary

Zeeco is seeking a Weekend Shift Lead (Welding / Fabrication) to guide and support weekend manufacturing teams while actively performing production tasks. You will set daily priorities, ensure safety and quality, and act as the on‑floor lead for workflow and problem solving.

Welding experience is preferred, but related machine shop or entry‑level manufacturing backgrounds are also considered. The role involves leading the fabrication and welding of burners, flares, and related components,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of manufacturing experience required; welding experience strongly preferred.
• Prior lead or informal supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience in welding, fabrication, or machine shop operations.
• Ability to read blueprints, work instructions, and welding symbols.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with leadership by example.
• Basic computer skills for production tracking and reporting.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles preferred.
• ERP experience with Solomon or similar systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and work alongside production employees in the fabrication and welding of burners, flares, incinerators, and related components during shift operations.
• Serve as the primary on‑floor lead, providing direction, assignments, and real‑time problem solving to meet production schedules.
• Ensure work complies with quality standards, drawings, and welding procedures.
• Promote and maintain HSE compliance, including PPE use and safety policies.
• Monitor workflow, identify bottlenecks, and communicate issues to supervision.
• Support training and onboarding of new employees; mentor less experienced team members.
• Assist with basic troubleshooting of equipment, tools, and processes.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts, including lean manufacturing initiatives.
• Provide input on employee performance and address attendance or conduct issues as needed.
