Job summary

Zeeco is seeking a Night Shift Lead to oversee night shift welding and fabrication operations, ensuring safe, efficient production while actively performing production work. The role requires setting priorities, coordinating between floor teams, and addressing quality and safety concerns.

Ideal candidates have welding experience, with additional experience in machine shop or entry-level manufacturing considered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of manufacturing experience required; welding experience preferred.
• Previous lead or supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience in welding, fabrication, machine shop operations, or first-entry manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and welding symbols.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; lead by example.
• Basic computer skills for production tracking and reporting.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles preferred.
• Experience with Solomon or similar ERP systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and work alongside production employees in welding and fabrication of burners, flares, incinerators, and related components during night shift.
• Serve as primary on-floor lead, assigning tasks and solving real-time problems to meet production schedules.
• Ensure work complies with quality standards, drawings, and welding procedures.
• Promote HSE compliance, PPE use, and safety policies.
• Monitor workflow, identify bottlenecks, communicate issues to supervision.
• Assist training and onboarding of new employees; mentor teammates.
• Assist with basic troubleshooting of equipment, tools, processes.
• Participate in continuous improvement, lean manufacturing and process initiatives.
• Provide input on employee performance and address attendance or conduct issues.

Night Shift Lead (Welding / Fabrication)

Job Summary

The Night Shift Lead is a hands‑on production leader responsible for leading and supporting night shift manufacturing employees while actively performing production work. This role sets daily priorities, ensures safe and efficient operations, and serves as the first point of contact for workflow, quality, and safety concerns. The ideal candidate will have welding experience; however, candidates with machine shop or first‑entry manufacturing experience may also be considered.

Job Duties

• Lead and work alongside production employees in the fabrication and welding of burners, flares, incinerators, and related components during night shift operations.
• Serve as the primary on‑floor lead, providing direction, job assignments, and real‑time problem solving to meet production schedules.
• Ensure work is performed in compliance with quality standards, drawings, and welding procedures.
• Promote and maintain HSE compliance, including proper use of PPE and adherence to safety policies.
• Monitor workflow, identify bottlenecks, and communicate issues or needs to supervision.
• Support training and onboarding of new employees; mentor less experienced team members.
• Assist with basic troubleshooting of equipment, tools, and processes.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts, including lean manufacturing and process improvement initiatives.
• Provide input on employee performance and elevate attendance, performance, or conduct issues as needed.

• Must be able to work in a shop environment with exposure to welding fumes, noise, and industrial equipment.
• Must be able to climb stairs, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks associated with fabrication and welding.
• Must be able to work overtime as required. Must not present a risk of injury to self or others while performing job duties.
