Job summary

BAE Systems in Louisville, KY is seeking a Weld Production Supervisor to lead the weekend 2nd shift (5:00 PM - 5:00 AM) for submarine product lines. You will directly manage touch labor and provide primary leadership to the production team for the shift.

Responsibilities include day-to-day execution, coordinating with manufacturing engineering, planning, and quality, and driving safety, quality, schedule, and delivery targets while promoting lean improvements.

Responsibilities

• Be the primary program point of contact for the assigned shift and provide leadership of day to day execution.
• Oversee the manufacturing process to ensure schedule is achieved with engineering, planning, and quality control.
• Plan and direct production activities and set clear safety, quality, schedule, and delivery goals.
• Organize production processes and ensure necessary resources are available.
• Apply measures to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and equipment performance; suggest changes to conditions and tools.
• Collaborate with management to align site initiatives with business needs.
• Promote a culture focused on safety and quality improvement.
• Monitor department financial performance to meet targets.
