Job summary

Penn State Department of Meteorology and Atmospheric Science seeks students for the 2027 spring semester to take official cooperative weather observations for the National Weather Service, including daily temperature and precipitation records, and to assist with the production of a weekday television weather broadcast. Weekend and break work is required.

Meteorology undergraduate students are excellent candidates for this position.

• Take official cooperative weather observations for the National Weather Service, including daily temperature and precipitation records
• Assist with the production of a weekday television weather broadcast
• Occasionally give tours to prospective students and their families if interested
