The Department of Meteorology and Atmospheric Science at Penn State University Park is seeking students to work in the 2027 spring semester. You will take official cooperative weather observations for the National Weather Service, including daily temperature and precipitation records, and assist with a weekday weather broadcast.

Weekend and break work are required. Meteorology undergraduates are ideal candidates for this position.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Take official cooperative weather observations daily temperature and precipitation records.
• Assist with the production of a weekday television weather broadcast.
• Occasionally give tours to prospective students and their families if interested.
