Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical training in environmental science, industrial maintenance, utilities, or a related field preferred.
• Current South Carolina Wastewater License - A, B, C, or D in Physical/Chemical required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with operation and monitoring of wastewater treatment processes and equipment.
• Observe gauges, meters, control panels, and SCADA systems to monitor plant performance.
• Collect wastewater samples and perform routine laboratory analyses.
• Record operational data and maintain accurate logs and reports.
• Assist in adjusting pumps, valves, motors, blowers, and chemical feed systems.
• Perform routine maintenance on treatment equipment and facilities.
• Inspect treatment processes and collection system components for proper operation.
• Participate in preventive maintenance activities and equipment repairs.
• Clean plant equipment, buildings, tanks, and work areas.
• Assist with troubleshooting operational and mechanical issues.
• Respond to emergency situations, alarms, and operational upsets as needed.
• Learn and follow all state and federal environmental regulations.
• Comply with safety procedures, including confined space entry, lockout/tagout, and PPE requirements.
• Attend certification classes and complete required training programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
