Job summary

Fountain View is seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist (RT) to join the Weekend Warrior Day Shift Team in a ventilator and skilled nursing unit. You will provide comprehensive respiratory care for residents on 12-hour daytime shifts and collaborate with nursing staff and physicians to ensure high-quality weekend care.

The role requires Ohio licensure (RRT/CRT), ventilator experience in SNF/LTACH/hospital/ICU, strong assessment and communication skills, and the ability to work independently

Qualifications

• Active Ohio Respiratory Therapist license (RRT or CRT).
• Ventilator experience required (SNF, LTACH, hospital, or ICU preferred).
• Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Skilled nursing, long-term care, or ventilator unit experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor ventilators and respiratory equipment.
• Assess residents' respiratory status and respond to changes in condition.
• Administer respiratory treatments and therapies as ordered.
• Perform trach care, suctioning, and airway management.
• Ensure ventilator alarms, settings, and equipment function properly.
• Accurately document assessments, treatments, and interventions.
• Collaborate closely with nursing and clinical leadership.
• Maintain compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Respond to respiratory emergencies and provide clinical support as needed.
• Promote resident comfort, safety, and quality of life.

Fountain View is seeking a dedicated and experienced Respiratory Therapist (RT) to join our Weekend Warrior Day Shift Team in our specialized ventilator and skilled nursing unit. This position is designed for respiratory professionals looking to maximize their earnings while providing high-quality care on weekends in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.

Position Overview

As a Weekend Warrior Respiratory Therapist, you will provide comprehensive respiratory care to residents requiring ventilator and complex pulmonary support during 12-hour daytime shifts. You will work closely with nursing staff, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure exceptional resident outcomes and quality care throughout the weekend.
