Smoky Mountain Health & Rehabilitation Center is seeking compassionate Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for our Weekend Warrior Program in Pigeon Forge, TN. Enjoy weekend-only shifts with an additional $3/hour differential and 12-hour or 16-hour weekend shifts available, while keeping weekdays free.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, organizational, and clinical skills.
• Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented approach to resident care.
• Graduate of an approved Practical Nursing program.
• Current, active Tennessee LPN license.
• Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care within the LPN scope of practice.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
• Monitor residents and communicate changes to healthcare professionals.
• Document health information and contribute to care planning and assessments.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and collaborate with the care team.
• Guide and support CNAs and other staff as appropriate.
• Follow infection control and safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Promote a safe, resident-centered care environment.

LPN Responsibilities

As a Weekend Warrior Licensed Practical Nurse at Smoky Mountain Health & Rehabilitation Center, you will:

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care in accordance with individualized resident care plans and within the LPN scope of practice.

• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately as ordered.

• Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly communicate concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.

• Collect and document resident health information and contribute to nursing assessments and care planning within your scope of practice.

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

• Collaborate with Registered Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), physicians, and interdisciplinary team members.

• Provide guidance and support to nursing assistants as appropriate.

• Follow infection control practices, safety procedures, and applicable state and federal regulations.

• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.

• Promote a safe, respectful, and resident-centered care environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Practical Nursing program.

• Current, active, and unrestricted Tennessee LPN license.

• Long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation experience preferred.

• Strong communication, organizational, and clinical skills.

• Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented approach to resident care.

• Ability to work scheduled weekend shifts.
