Job summary

Midtown Center for Health and Rehabilitation is seeking compassionate CNAs for weekend shifts from 7am to 7pm at our Memphis-centered facility. We emphasize resident comfort, dignity, and empathetic daily care, enabling team support and clear communication with the nursing staff.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience as a CNA in a long-term care setting is highly preferred.
• Current state certification as a CNA.

Responsibilities

• Attend to the individual needs of residents, including bathing, feeding, dressing, and ambulating.
• Take and record patient vital signs, assist with lifting, moving, and transporting residents using proper body mechanics.
• Recognize and report changes in resident conditions to nurse management.
• Communicate effectively with residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors.
• Report abnormal changes or patterns to nursing staff.
• Assist the nurse with various duties as directed.

CNAs are responsible for the following:

• Attend to the individual needs of residents, including bathing, feeding, dressing, and ambulating.

• Responsible for taking and recording patient vital signs lifting, moving, and transporting residents, using proper body mechanics.

• Recognizing and reporting changes in resident conditions to nurse management. Asking appropriate questions to clarify situations.

• Communicate and interact effectively and tactfully with the residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors.

• Reporting abnormal changes or patterns to nursing staff.

• Demonstrating the ability to assist the nurse with various duties as directed.

CNA Requirements:

• At least one year of experience as a CNA in a long-term care setting is highly preferred.

• Current state certification as a CNA
