Job summary

i9 Sports Corporation is seeking a Volleyball Official for weekend shifts as a part-time contractor. Enforce rules, foster a positive culture, and act as on-court coach, promoting our programs and ensuring a fun, safe game experience.

Responsibilities include enforcing the rulebook, teaching sportsmanship values, setting up equipment, and keeping time and score. Requires reliable transportation, strong communication, and 2+ years in officiating or coaching. Background check required.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication with players, coaches, spectators.
• Reliable transportation to and from venues.
• At least 2 years of officiating, playing, or coaching in sports.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Ability to manage incidents and take charge to keep players safe.
• Positive attitude and strong professional relationships.
• Weekend/evening availability for roughly 7 weeks.
• Smartphone with internet access.
• Must pass National Criminal Background Check.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly understand and enforce the i9 Sports rulebook.
• Teach and demonstrate core concepts, including sportsmanship values.
• Set up and break down game/practice field equipment.
• Keep time and score during the game, managing an age-appropriate level of instruction and competition.
• Provide superior customer service with a positive attitude.
• Assist volunteer coaches during practice sessions, conducting drills, and answering questions.
