Job summary

Stanbridge University seeks dedicated nursing professionals to join the Vocational Nursing program as Weekend Clinical & Skills Lab Adjunct Faculty. The role covers weekend clinical rotations, simulation activities, and hands-on nursing instruction across OC/Irvine, LA/Alhambra, SD/San Marcos, and IE/Riverside campuses.

Ideal candidates have recent clinical experience, California RN license, a Bachelor's in Nursing, and the ability to provide consistent weekend availability throughout the term.

Qualifications

• Current, active California RN license required.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing or higher.
• Minimum of four years of clinical nursing experience within the past five years.
• Minimum of one year of acute care nursing experience within the past five years.
• Current BLS/CPR certification required.
• Previous clinical teaching, precepting, or staff education experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on clinical and skills laboratory instruction using approved course materials and institutional standards.
• Supervise students in clinical settings to ensure safe, competent patient care.
• Facilitate nursing skills demonstrations, return demonstrations, and competency validation activities.
• Integrate theory into clinical and simulation-based instruction.
• Promote clinical judgment, patient safety, and evidence-based nursing practice.
• Lead pre- and post-clinical conferences to reinforce learning objectives.
• Evaluate student performance using established academic and clinical criteria.
• Maintain accurate documentation of attendance, evaluations, competencies, and student performance.
