Job summary

Stanbridge University seeks experienced nursing professionals to join the Vocational Nursing program as Weekend Clinical & Skills Lab Adjunct Faculty. The role supports weekend clinical rotations, simulation activities, and hands-on nursing skills instruction across multiple California campus locations.

Qualifications

• Current, active California RN license required.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum of four (4) years of clinical nursing experience within the past five (5) years.
• Minimum of one (1) year of acute care nursing experience within the past five (5) years.
• Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience in the applicable specialty area within the past five (5) years.
• Current BLS/CPR certification required.
• Previous clinical teaching or staff education experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on clinical and/or skills lab instruction using approved course materials and standards.
• Supervise students in clinical settings to ensure safe patient care.
• Facilitate nursing skills demonstrations, return demonstrations, and competency validation.
• Integrate theory into clinical and simulation-based instruction.
• Promote clinical judgment and patient safety; evidence-based practice.
• Lead pre- and post-clinical conferences to reinforce learning objectives.
• Evaluate student performance using established criteria.
• Maintain accurate attendance, evaluations, and competency records.
• Foster a professional learning environment with accountability and collaboration.
• Support student engagement through mentorship and accessibility.
• Ensure compliance with university policies and regulatory standards.
