Stanbridge University invites qualified Adjunct Vocational Nursing instructors to educate and mentor the next generation of VN students across multiple campuses including OC/Irvine, LA/Alhambra, SD/San Marcos, and IE/Riverside.

Faculty deliver clinical and theory instruction, evaluate student competency, and facilitate clinical practice with emphasis on safety, evidence-based care, and professional standards. Flexible scheduling supports clinicians.

Qualifications

• California RN or LVN license active and current.
• Bachelor's degree required; RN/LVN license valid.
• 4+ years of clinical nursing experience in the past 5 years.
• At least 1 year of acute care experience in the past 5 years.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Teaching or precepting experience preferred.
• Proficient in Word, PowerPoint and Outlook; ATI and CourseKey experience preferred.
• Up-to-date immunization records.

Responsibilities

• Deliver clinical and/or theory instruction using approved course materials.
• Develop instructional strategies that engage students and promote clinical judgment.
• Evaluate student competency using established clinical and academic standards.
• Facilitate the integration of theory into clinical practice.
• Ensure patient safety and compliance with clinical policies.
• Lead pre- and post-clinical conferences to reinforce learning.
• Engage students in reflective practice and critical thinking.
• Foster a professional learning environment with accountability and collaboration.
• Support student success through active engagement and instructional flexibility.
• Maintain accurate records of grades, attendance, and performance.
• Maintain current knowledge of clinical practice and instructional content.
• Participate in department meetings and governance activities.
