Job summary

Stanbridge University is seeking dedicated nursing educators to support the VN program with weekend clinical rotations, simulations, and hands-on nursing skills instruction across multiple campus locations, including Riverside.

Ideal candidates hold a California RN license, a Bachelor’s degree, and at least four years of recent clinical experience, with at least one year in an acute care or specialty area. Strong teaching and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Active California RN license required.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum of four (4) years clinical nursing experience in past five years.
• Minimum of one (1) year acute care experience in past five years.
• One (1) year of specialty-area clinical experience in past five years.
• Current BLS/CPR certification required.
• Teaching, precepting, or staff education experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on clinical and skills lab instruction per approved curricula.
• Supervise students in clinical settings to ensure safe patient care.
• Facilitate skills demonstrations and competency validation activities.
• Integrate theory with clinical and simulation-based teaching.
• Promote clinical judgment and patient safety.
• Lead pre- and post-clinical conferences to reinforce learning.
• Evaluate student performance using established criteria.
• Maintain accurate attendance, evaluations, and competencies.
