Qualifications

• Current, active California RN license required.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum of four years of clinical nursing experience within the past five years.
• Minimum of one year of acute care nursing experience within the past five years.
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience in the applicable specialty area within the past five years.
• Current BLS/CPR certification required.
• Clinical teaching, precepting, or staff education experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• ATI and CourseKey experience preferred.
• Immunization records up-to-date.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on clinical and skills lab instruction using approved materials.
• Supervise students in clinical settings to ensure safe patient care.
• Facilitate nursing skills demonstrations and competency validation.
• Integrate theory with clinical and simulation-based teaching.
• Promote clinical judgment and evidence-based practice.
• Lead pre- and post-clinical conferences to reinforce objectives.
• Evaluate student performance using established criteria.
• Maintain attendance, evaluations, and competency documentation.
• Foster professional learning and access for mentorship.
• Ensure compliance with university policies and regulatory standards.
