Job summary

Stanbridge University seeks dedicated Adjunct Vocational Nursing (VN) Faculty to educate and mentor nursing students across campus locations. The role covers Fundamentals, Medical-Surgical, Obstetrics, Pediatrics, and Mental Health with emphasis on real-world clinical teaching.

Ideal candidates are clinicians who enjoy teaching, mentoring, and shaping future nurses, while maintaining flexible schedules across OC, SD, and IE campuses.

Qualifications

• Current, active California RN or LVN license required.
• Minimum of four years of clinical nursing experience within past five years.
• Minimum of one year of acute care experience within past five years.
• Current BLS/CPR certification required.
• Prior teaching or precepting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver clinical and/or theory instruction using approved course materials.
• Develop instructional strategies that engage students and promote clinical judgment.
• Evaluate student competency using established standards.
• Lead pre- and post-clinical conferences to reinforce learning.
• Maintain accurate records of grades and attendance.
