Job summary

Stanbridge University is seeking dedicated nursing professionals for Weekend Clinical & Skills Lab Adjunct Faculty in the VN program. This role supports weekend clinical rotations, simulation activities, and hands-on nursing skills across multiple campus locations.

Ideal candidates have a California RN license, a Bachelor's degree, and at least four years of recent clinical nursing experience, plus BLS/CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Current, active California RN license is required.
• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Minimum of four years of clinical nursing experience within the past five years.
• Minimum of one year of acute care nursing experience within the past five years.
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience in the applicable specialty within the past five years.
• Current BLS/CPR certification required.
• Prior clinical teaching or staff education experience is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint is required.
• ATI and CourseKey experience preferred.
• Up-to-date immunization records required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on clinical and skills laboratory instruction using approved materials and standards.
• Supervise students in clinical settings to ensure safe, competent patient care.
• Facilitate nursing skills demonstrations and competency validation activities.
• Integrate theory into clinical and simulation-based instruction.
• Promote clinical judgment and patient safety in practice.
• Lead pre- and post-clinical conferences to reinforce objectives.
• Evaluate student performance using established criteria.
• Maintain accurate attendance and evaluation documentation.
• Foster a professional learning environment and promote accountability and collaboration.
• Support student engagement through mentorship and accessible instruction.
• Ensure compliance with university policies and regulatory standards.
• Maintain current knowledge of nursing practice and teaching expectations.
• Participate in department meetings and faculty activities as required.
