Job summary

Stanbridge University seeks dedicated nursing clinicians to join the Weekend VN program as adjunct faculty for weekend clinical rotations, simulation activities, and skills lab instruction across multiple California campuses.

Responsibilities include supervising students, facilitating demonstrations, and ensuring alignment with accreditation standards. A California RN license and BSN are required, with ongoing weekend availability and a commitment to mentorship and professional practice.

Qualifications

Current, active California RN license required.
Bachelor's degree required.
Minimum four years of clinical nursing experience in the past five years.
Minimum one year of acute care nursing experience in the past five years.
BLS/CPR certification current.

Responsibilities

Deliver hands-on clinical and/or skills laboratory instruction using approved materials and standards.
Supervise students in clinical settings to ensure safe, competent patient care.
Facilitate nursing skills demonstrations, return demonstrations, and competency validation.
Integrate theory into clinical and simulation-based instruction.
Promote clinical judgment, patient safety, and evidence-based nursing practice.
Lead pre- and post-clinical conferences to reinforce learning objectives.
Evaluate student performance using established criteria.
Maintain accurate documentation of attendance, evaluations, and competencies.
Foster a professional learning environment and promote accountability and collaboration.
Support student engagement through mentorship and accessibility.
Ensure compliance with university policies and accreditation standards.
