Job summary

Stanbridge University is seeking qualified nursing clinicians to join the VN weekend faculty team for clinical rotations, simulation, and hands-on skills instruction across multiple campus locations, including Riverside. Ideal candidates mentor students and support accreditation standards with dependable weekend availability.

Qualifications

• Current, active California RN license.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 4+ years of clinical nursing experience within past 5 years.
• 1+ year of acute care nursing experience within past 5 years.
• 1+ year in the applicable specialty within past 5 years.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• Clinical teaching or staff education experience preferred.
• Immunization records up-to-date.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on clinical and skills lab instruction using approved materials.
• Supervise students in clinical settings for safe patient care.
• Facilitate nursing skills demonstrations and competency validation.
• Integrate theory with clinical and simulation-based instruction.
• Promote clinical judgment, patient safety, and evidence-based practice.
• Lead pre- and post-clinical conferences to reinforce objectives.
• Evaluate student performance using established criteria.
• Maintain accurate attendance, evaluations, and documentation.
• Foster professional learning environment with accountability and collaboration.
• Provide mentorship and instructional accessibility to students.
• Ensure compliance with university policies and regulatory standards.
• Stay current with nursing practice and instructional methods.
