Gulf Coast Veterinary Emergency Hospital seeks a dedicated veterinary aide to support triage, nursing care, and diagnostic procedures in a fast-paced emergency setting. The role involves anesthesia management, comfortable handling of animals, and clear communication with clients.
Weekend shifts are required, with opportunities for virtual and hands-on training and professional development. Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits are offered to eligible staff.
Animal restraint, triage of incoming patients, collection and analysis of lab samples, diagnostic imaging, management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability, administration of medications, effective communication of treatment plans with clients, surgical preparation and assistance, and anesthetic management.
Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases.

$16 - $21/hr. depending on experience and licensure status
Hiring eligibility may be contingent to a candidate authorizing and completing a satisfactory background check.
