Animal Emergency of Pasco is seeking a part-time veterinary technician for on-site shifts, approximately 8–16 hours per week across 4–8 shifts per month. Responsibilities include patient nursing, lab work, imaging, anesthesia, and client communication.
Training and development opportunities are provided; weekend and some night availability preferred. Preference given to licensed technicians, but experienced candidates with 3+ years will be considered.
We are looking to add a teammate that is interested in covering shifts on an as-needed basis, approximately 8 - 16 hours per week, 4 - 8 shifts per month
Animal restraint, triage of incoming patients, collection and analysis of lab samples, diagnostic imaging, management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability, administration of medications, effective communication of treatment plans with clients, surgical preparation and assistance, and anesthetic management.
Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases.
