Vista Vet Animal Hospital & Pet Lodge in Round Rock, TX is seeking a Veterinary Kennel Assistant to join our team. You will focus on patient husbandry, meals, walks for boarding patients, medication administration, and monitoring for medical or behavioral concerns.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience as veterinary kennel assistant preferred.
• Experience in boarding/doggy daycare accepted.
• Passion for animal care and patient wellbeing.
• Ability to safely handle, restrain, walk, and monitor animals under supervision.
• Comfort with basic animal husbandry including feeding, watering, bathing, grooming maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Provide meals and walks for boarding patients.
• Administer medication and monitor medical/behavioral concerns.
• Sanitize kennels and keep areas stocked with supplies.
• Light patient restraint support as needed.
• Document observations for veterinary team.
