Job summary

Operation Kindness Humane Society in Dallas, TX is seeking a Veterinary Technician to join our Medical-Community team. The role supports the on-site clinic and weekend community wellness events, delivering compassionate care to animals and guidance to pet owners.

You will assist veterinarians, triage patients, monitor anesthesia, prepare and recover patients, and help with vaccines and diagnostics while maintaining accurate records and a high standard of customer service.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of Vet Tech experience.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to work weekends and travel to off-site clinics.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient triage, prep, and recovery during high-volume events.
• Assist veterinarian during surgeries and wellness services per protocol.
• Maintain equipment, supplies, and vehicles in safe condition.
• Explain discharge instructions and vaccination plans to pet owners.
• Collect specimens and perform basic diagnostics per SOP.
