Job summary

Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes in Greenville, SC, seeks a Weekend Transfer Lead to join our transfer team. The role involves receiving calls, driving a company vehicle, and transferring deceased individuals to our care with utmost respect.

Candidates with prior first responder, ambulance, or patient-transport driving experience are preferred. A high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record are required. PPE is provided.

Qualifications

• Previous first responder or ambulance/patient-transport driving experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with insurable driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming calls during on-call shifts, responding appropriately by driving to transfer the deceased or routing calls to a Funeral Director.
• Interact professionally and compassionately over the phone and in person with grieving families and medical staff.
• Adhere to strict safety standards, protocols, and professional appearance/attire guidelines.
• Complete minimal administrative tasks as required during the orientation and shift periods.
