Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking a dependable Class B Welder to support production with high-quality TIG and MIG welding. This role requires a minimum of six months’ MIG welding experience and prefers TIG welding expertise. The position emphasizes attendance, safety, and craftsmanship.

Work is on a weekend shift with full PPE and safety compliance. Candidates should be able to read blueprints, measure accurately, and lift up to 50 lbs as needed to maintain production flow.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months MIG welding experience or Trade School training.
• TIG welding experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and focus on quality.
• Reliable and dependable attendance is required.
• Ability to problem‑solve and work well with a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG and MIG welding to production standards
• Tack weld efficiently; grind when required
• Work across multiple welding positions, including welding, tacking, stud, and bung welds
• Read and interpret blueprints and part lists
• Accurately measure using a tape measure
• Safely operate shop tools and equipment
• Follow all PPE and safety requirements
• Stand for the entire shift and lift up to 50 lbs
