Job summary

UPMC Shadyside is seeking experienced RNs for the Surgical ICU weekend program. The role offers a 24-hour per weekend schedule with two 12-hour shifts or three 8-hour shifts between Friday 3pm and Monday 7am, in a Magnet-designated teaching hospital focused on surgical oncology and critical care.

Qualifications

• RN with more than one year of RN experience required.
• Full-Time Weekend Program for experienced RNs.
• Care for surgical ICU patients in a Magnet-designated teaching hospital.

Responsibilities

• Administer and titrate infusions (anti-arrhythmics, insulin, vasopressors, sedatives, paralytics).
• Foster positive relationships with colleagues and patients.
• Educate patients and families using adult learning principles and guide care transitions.
