Project HOME is seeking a compassionate Support Staff member to assist residents at the St. Columba site. This part-time role runs Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, at $19.68 per hour.

You will help foster a safe, recovery-oriented environment while supporting residents with daily living and community activities. Responsibilities include access control, crisis response, documentation, and coordination with staff to promote wellness and respect.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one year of experience in behavioral health, homelessness services, residential programs, human services, or related field.
• ServSafe Certification required at time of hire or within 90 days of employment.
• Knowledge of crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Monitor access to the building and ensure only authorized individuals enter the site.
• Welcome residents, staff, visitors, and approved delivery personnel; maintain logs.
• Conduct routine building rounds and document safety observations.
• Respond to emergencies and crises using de-escalation techniques and established protocols.
• Promote a safe, respectful, and supportive living environment.
• Work independently on-site with on-call support when needed.
• Answer calls, take messages, and route communications appropriately.
• Participate in shift-change briefings and communicate updates to staff.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation in staff logs and systems.
• Follow procedures for communicating with supervisors and on-call staff.
• Build positive relationships with residents and community members.
• Support residents' recovery journeys and participation in activities.
• Facilitate community-building groups and activities as appropriate.
• Serve as a positive role model and promote peer support.
