Job summary

Cantex Continuing Care Network in Frisco, TX is seeking an experienced RN to join our Skilled Nursing team at Prairie Estates. This full-time nursing position offers opportunities for career advancement within a positive culture and collaborative environment.

The RN will lead patient care, document in EMR, and ensure adherence to physician orders and state/federal guidelines. Graduation from an accredited nursing program and an active RN license are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Valid RN license required.
• Experience in patient care per physician orders is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide and oversee patient care services per accepted standards and physician orders.
• Observe, assess, and report patient conditions; document changes per policies and regulations.
• Document patient assessments and care plans in the EMR system.
• Potentially administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Receive, transcribe, and execute physicians’ orders; implement care plans.
• Direct, monitor, and coordinate timely delivery of quality patient care by staff.
• Ensure staff training on patient care systems and procedures.

Qualifications & Responsibilities

• As a Registered Nurse (RN) you will participate in and oversee the provision of patient care services consistent with accepted standards and prescribed by attending Physician.
• Observes, assesses, and reports Patient conditions/changes and documents in accordance with Cantex’s Clinical Policies & Procedures and state/federal guidelines & regulations.
• EMR documentation relevant to patient assessment, evaluation, change of condition, in accordance to nursing practices.
• May administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Receive, transcribe, and execute physicians’ orders. Evaluated and implements a Patient’s care plan.
• Directs, monitors, and coordinates timely delivery of quality Patient care by all subordinate staff.
• Ensures Patient Care Management Systems are routinely in-serviced and incorporated into the delivery of patient care.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited Nursing School
• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) License
