Job summary

Health Care Resource Centers, a BayMark Health Services Company, seeks a compassionate Weekend Substance Use Counselor for a part-time role in Chicopee, MA. Flexible schedule 8:00am-4:00pm and outpatient care aim to support recovery in a secure setting.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's or Master’s in Behavioral Science with counseling experience and relevant CAC/CADC/MA LADC II certifications. Compensation ranges $25-$29 per hour with BayMark benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 1 year of counseling experience.
• Master’s degree in Behavioral Science with at least 1 year of counseling experience.
• Certifications CAC, CADC, CADC II or MA LADC II with related supervision.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments and eligibility interviews.
• Develop and review initial treatment plans with each patient.
• Complete Bio-psychosocial assessment.
• Provide individual and group counseling; coordinate services.
• Involve families in recovery when possible.
• Respond to patient grievances and complaints.
• Develop aftercare and discharge plans.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree with counseling experience

Master’s Degree in Behavioral Science with counseling experience

Associate’s Degree or High School Diploma with certification (CAC/CADC/CADC II or MA LADC II)
