Job summary

FuelCell Energy, based in Torrington, CT, is seeking a dedicated AWW 1 Weekend Shift Sub Assembly Supervisor to lead weekend production for sub-assembly operations. You will ensure safety, quality, throughput, and cost objectives while maintaining standard work and effective handoffs to weekday leadership.

The role emphasizes frontline leadership, staffing, coaching, and continuous improvement within a critical manufacturing value stream at FuelCell Energy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; an associate degree or technical certification is a plus.
• Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions, bills of materials, and inspection criteria.
• Experience leading teams and applying lean tools (6S, standard work) and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Own daily weekend shift production execution for sub-assembly operations.
• Drive schedule attainment and on-time completion of work orders.
• Manage throughput, labor, scrap, rework, and equipment uptime using lean methods.
• Maintain floor discipline with 6S, standard work, and clear shift handoffs.
• Directly supervise weekend shift operators and coordinate staffing and priorities.
• Interview candidates and support hiring decisions with management.
