Job summary

FuelCell Energy seeks a Tape Casting Supervisor for the Torrington, CT area to lead weekend shift tape casting operations and ensure safety, quality, throughput, and cost objectives are met on the shop floor.

You will supervise operators, drive production performance, and collaborate with quality, engineering, and maintenance to sustain a high‑performing manufacturing value stream in a critical energy production environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree, technical certification, or trade school training is a plus.
• Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Own daily production execution for tape casting operations, including slurry prep and related tasks.
• Drive schedule attainment and on‑time completion of work orders to support delivery commitments.
• Manage throughput, labor utilization, scrap, rework, and equipment uptime; remove bottlenecks with lean tools.
• Maintain floor discipline through 6S, standard work, visual management, and daily safety accountability.
• Directly supervise tape casting operators and coordinate staffing and labor priorities.
• Interview candidates and assist with staffing in collaboration with management.
