Job summary

St. Luke's is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician for the weekend shift (Fri, Sat, Sun, 8am–8pm) in Chesterfield, MO. You will support the SPD by handling, sterilizing, and organizing instruments, ensuring accuracy and safety in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The role requires CRCST/technician credentials preferred, high school diploma, and 1 year SPD/OR experience with 2–5 years of customer service. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• CRCST or Certified Surgical Technician preferred; CRCST within 180 days.
• 1 year SPD or OR experience preferred.
• 2–5 years of face-to-face customer service experience required.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Manage handling and processing of surgical instruments and equipment.
• Requisition, replenish, and clean sterilization equipment as needed.
• Transport soiled items from point of use to processing area.
• Prepare instrument trays and sets for sterilization.
• Oversee sterilization workflow from start to finish.
• Document activities accurately and maintain records.
