Job summary

EMCOR Government Services seeks a Stationary Engineer for Eglin Air Force Base, FL. The role oversees safe operations of the contractor’s workforce, conducts daily tours, and ensures efficient performance of mechanical and electrical systems on site. Position is covered by the Service Contract Act (SCA).

Work schedule includes Saturday and Sunday shifts (1st, 2nd, or 3rd). Strong problem-solving and teamwork are essential for ensuring facility uptime.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in healthcare facilities.
• Minimum of five years field experience in commercial mechanical systems operation, repair and maintenance; boiler, chiller and control systems experience desirable.
• Familiarity with plumbing, electric & fire protection systems.
• Florida Boiler Operator License or military journeyman level 5+ as documented on DD214.
• Ability to read and apply blueprints, specifications, and BAS control drawings.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities for large mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, repair, and replace mechanical, electrical, control systems, air handling units, pumps, motors, heat exchangers, and related components.
• Perform corrective maintenance per contract specs and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Lead shift operations for boilers, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, and related systems.
• Respond to service requests from Customer’s Representative and coordinate with Project Manager.
• Respond to emergencies and initiate appropriate operations procedures.
• Maintain accurate operating logs and maintenance forms for timely submission to Customer.
