Job summary

SYNERGY HomeCare of Conover is seeking experienced Specialized Caregivers to provide high-quality non-medical care on weekend shifts, helping clients with Alzheimer's, dementia, Parkinson's, mobility limitations, hospice needs, fall risks, and other high-acuity conditions to stay safe and independent at home. This role emphasizes compassionate, dependable care.

Applicants should have at least one year of professional caregiving experience, reliable transportation, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of professional caregiving experience preferred.
• CNA, PCA, Home Health Aide, or equivalent caregiving experience welcomed.
• Reliable transportation
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently in clients' homes
• Must successfully pass a background check

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate companionship and emotional support
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal care
• Support clients with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, and memory-related conditions
• Provide safety supervision and fall prevention support
• Assist with mobility, transfers, ambulation, and gait belt use
• Assist with meal preparation and light housekeeping
• Provide medication reminders
• Support clients receiving hospice and end-of-life comfort care
• Observe and report changes in client condition
• Maintain professional communication with clients, families, and office staff
