As a Weekend Recreation Specialist (DSP), you will work every other Friday through Sunday, spending a full 48 hours making a real difference in the lives of the people you support. You will be right there for the big moments and the everyday wins—helping with daily routines, cheering on accomplishments, and turning ordinary weekends into memorable adventures. You will help plan the weekend with the person or people you support by bringing fresh ideas and energy to activities everyone can look forward to.
Plans are built around each person's interests and hobbies, so no two weekends are the same. One day you might explore the community on a scenic walk, try a favorite local restaurant, visit a nearby museum, or catch a movie in theaters together. If you love building connections, getting out and about, and making weekends meaningful, this is the role for you.
This position offers two weekend shifts per month; starting Friday afternoon and ending Sunday afternoon, with two paid asleep overnights included. Each shift is typically 48 hours, including 16 hours of asleep overnight scheduled. It is ideal for someone who works another job during the week, is in school, or who is looking for secondary employment that makes a difference.
