Job summary

Jobot is seeking a motivated Thread Rolling Operator Trainee to join our manufacturing team in San Diego. This role focuses on learning and operating thread rolling equipment used to produce precision metal components for aerospace applications, with emphasis on quality and safety in a fast-paced environment.

The Weekend shift runs 5am to 5:30pm Friday to Sunday (12-hour shifts with comp time). Overtime is available Monday-Thursday.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical instructions.
• Basic math skills including fractions and decimals.

Responsibilities

• Learn to set up and operate thread rolling machines and related equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and manufacturing documentation.
• Use micrometers, calipers, gauges, comparators, and microscopes to verify part quality.
• Perform first-piece inspections and in-process quality checks to ensure product compliance.
• Monitor machine performance and report equipment or safety concerns promptly.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow quality and safety procedures.
