Job summary

Mid-Plains Industries in Columbus, NE seeks an experienced CNC Laser / Press Brake Operator for a weekend shift. Position runs Friday through Sunday with three 12-hour shifts and you are paid for a full 40-hour week, three days off, each week.

You will set up and run CNC fiber laser or press brakes, read blueprints, select tooling, inspect parts, and maintain equipment. The role requires solid reading of blueprints, meticulous measurement, and reliable weekend attendance.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC laser and/or CNC press brakes.
• Machine setup experience.
• Ability to read fabrication blueprints.
• Strong inspection and measuring skills.
• Reliable attendance and commitment to the weekend schedule.
• Available to work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday every week — this schedule does not rotate to weekdays.

Responsibilities

• Inspect first-piece and in-process parts against quality standards
• Measure parts with calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and angle gauges
• Troubleshoot routine issues and adjust machines as needed
• Run support equipment, including cold saws
• Perform routine machine maintenance
• Keep your work area clean and organized

Summary

This is a dedicated weekend shift -- Friday, Saturday, and Sunday only. There is no weekday schedule available for this position. You work three 12-hour shifts and get paid for a full 40-hour week, with four consecutive days off, every week.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR This isn't an entry-level role --- we need someone who can step into production and run with minimal direction after training.
