Job summary

Greenville Post Acute is seeking an energetic Activities Assistant to support weekend programming and engage residents with creative, meaningful activities. You will work with the Activities Director to plan and deliver programs that enhance physical, emotional, social, and psychosocial wellbeing of residents.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and prior experience in long-term care or senior activities is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in a long-term care/activities setting preferred.
• Experience working with seniors is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and conducting individual, small-group, and large-group activities.
• Encourage resident participation in activities, hobbies, crafts, games, and events.
• Foster positive communication with residents, families, staff and visitors.
• Assist with monthly activity calendars and documentation of attendance.
• Support resident assessments and activity care plans.
• Coordinate resident transportation for outings, appointments, and activities.
