Job summary

DK Security, Inc. is seeking a part-time Security Officer to help protect client properties in Michigan. The role includes customer service, patrols, access control, and emergency response on-site. Training and adherence to client policies are required.

We welcome applicants with no prior experience and encourage veterans from security, firefighting, corrections, or law enforcement to apply. This position emphasizes teamwork and a professional presence on shift.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ with a high school diploma or GED.
• 21+ and Michigan CPL or LEOSA cardholder required for armed work.
• Must pass a drug screen at hire and randomly thereafter.
• No felonies per MCL 338.1060; no certain misdemeanors related to dishonesty or violence.

Responsibilities

• Assist client staff, visitors, and coworkers with a courteous, professional demeanor.
• Observe and report suspicious activities and incidents.
• Maintain security presence in building lobbies, reception areas, and control centers.
• Conduct foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned areas as required.
• Control access by verifying IDs and following proper procedures.
• Respond to emergencies and provide CPR/First Aid/AED when needed; liaise with client and site supervisor.
