Job summary

DK Security, Inc. in Michigan is hiring a part-time Security Officer for Thursday–Saturday shifts. You will protect client properties, deliver customer service, and maintain a professional presence in lobbies, reception areas, and control rooms. Duties include patrols, access control, incident reporting, and emergency readiness; training and policies must be followed. Applicants should be 18+, with a high school diploma or GED, pass a background check, and be fluent in English.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
• Armed security not required; CPL/LEOSA details apply only if armed work is involved.
• Must pass a drug screen at time of hire and randomly thereafter.
• Must not have felonies; must meet state requirements for conduct.
• Able to sit, stand, and walk 8-12 hours; lift 50 lbs (70 lbs for armed work).
• Must read, write, speak and understand English fluently.
• Must complete trainings on time and adhere to policies.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service: reflect positively on the company and assist client staff, visitors, and coworkers.
• Observe and Report: stay alert and report suspicious activities and incidents.
• Security Presence: maintain a professional appearance and stand guard in lobbies, reception areas, and control centers.
• Security Officer: conduct foot and/or vehicle patrols as required.
• Access Control: prevent unauthorized entry; check IDs and follow procedures.
• Safety Patrol: ensure a safe environment and enforce policies.
• Emergency Response: assist in emergencies; CPR/First Aid/AED readiness.
• Security Liaison: communicate with client staff and keep site supervisor updated.
• Other duties as assigned.
