Job summary

Securitas USA is seeking a part-time Security Officer to help maintain a safe environment across multiple sites in the Boston and Cambridge area. Shifts are Saturdays and Sundays, with two available time windows; compensation ranges from $20.00 to $24.00 per hour.

The role emphasizes strong observation, communication, and customer service in a fast-paced setting. Responsibilities include monitoring premises, enforcing policies, controlling access, and responding to incidents while reporting

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English effectively.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Surveillance: monitor cameras and patrol facilities.
• Access control: verify IDs and issue visitor passes.
• Emergency response: address alarms and medical/security incidents.
• Incident reporting: document observations and concerns.
• Patrolling: conduct routine foot patrols of entrances and surrounding areas.
• Customer service: assist and direct employees and visitors.
• Safety inspections: report hazards and unsafe conditions.
• Conflict resolution: handle disturbances calmly and professionally.
• Collaboration: work with team members and emergency responders.
