Qualifications

• Basic mechanical skills
• Ability to visually inspect equipment
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
• Ability to read chemical labels and understand safe handling
• Completion of sanitation chemical safety training
• Reliable attendance to meet staffing and customer demands
• Work in facilities with varying temperatures
• Exposure to wet or damp conditions
• Frequent walking/standing on concrete floors
• Exposure to caustic and acidic cleaning chemicals

Responsibilities

• Prepare equipment for cleaning by removing product, covering electrical parts, and disassembling machine components as needed
• Clean equipment thoroughly using air, water, cleaning solutions, and manual scrubbing
• Clean smaller parts by rinsing and placing them in the COP tank with heated cleaning solutions
• Prepare cleaning and sanitizing solutions accurately
• Sanitize all food contact surfaces with a centralized sanitizing system
• Reassemble equipment after cleaning, replacing guards, covers, and catch pans
