Job summary

Pilgrim’s in Minnesota is seeking a Sanitation Hourly team member. Responsibilities include cleaning and sanitizing equipment, production areas, and facilities to meet USDA, food safety, and company standards.

Must follow PPE and safety guidelines in a fast-paced environment and contribute to a safe, clean workplace. Base hourly pay is $20.96 with a $1.00 shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shifts, plus comprehensive benefits after 60 days and opportunities for career development within a leading

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Sanitation experience preferred; experience with chemicals is a plus.
• Food industry, manufacturing, or physical labor experience is a plus.
• Ability to multitask and work quickly in a fast-paced environment; good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize production equipment, tools, and work areas according to USDA, food safety, and company sanitation standards.
• Prepare, mix, and safely apply cleaning chemicals while following PPE and safety requirements.
• Inspect equipment and areas after sanitation to ensure proper cleanliness and report any issues or hazards promptly.
• Maintain an organized, safe work environment by removing debris, rinsing surfaces, and ensuring proper storage of tools and chemicals.
• Work collaboratively with team members to complete sanitation tasks efficiently and support a positive, safety-focused environment.
• Follow detailed sanitation procedures, SOPs, and all safety, food safety, and biosecurity guidelines; perform additional duties as needed to meet production readiness.
